Senior Judges Needed – Senior Project Boards Night
Columbus High School is in need of judges for Senior Project Boards Night. We rely on our judges every year to provide feedback to our students and validate their hard work.
A. Students spend a total (minimum) of 100 hours on their project over the course of approximately one year.
B. Students are encouraged to consider their Senior Project as a stepping stone to scholarship opportunities, community service, and career exploration. In our magnet program, this is important to students and parents.
C. Senior Project community involvement is comprehensive. All students choose a mentor from the community to work with on their project. Mentors each work a minimum of twenty-five hours with their student. Judges for Boards Night evaluate projects, presentations, and portfolios. We use three judges for each student presentation.
We must ask that senior parents not judge as well as relatives of seniors.
Sophomore and Junior parents are encouraged to participate. This will provide you great and valuable information regarding what your child will be working towards with his/her senior project.
If anyone is interested in judging on April 23rd from 5:30 to 9:00 please contact Ms. Susan Austin, Senior Project Coordinator at saustin@mcsdga.net or 706-748-2534 ext. 109.
